I generally disagree with Patriot, usually in the politics forum......
This time I fully agree with him for the second time this weekend......taking the Pats at -7 before it gets bet up a point or two.....I think the middle lies on the high side of the spread and not the low side....my only hesitation is that 7 is a key number, like the 3 in todays game it hardly moved but the juice did.......
Safer bet, IMO....is playing the over, McNabb should play better than Big Ben the rookie, Philly has capabilities with the passing game much more so than the Steelers, and a score of 30ish to 20ish or 40ish to something in the teens is very viable.....
Overs in the superbowl are hitting at around a 75% clip since the early eighties......these defenses are good but not good enough that these offenses and quarterbacks cannot overcome.....maybe if a Ravens type defense was in the game, but if my memory serves me correct, when they beat the Giants in thier superbowl that total went over also......
